The MLA Style Center is a free online companion site to the new eighth edition of the MLA Handbook and is the only MLA-authorized Web site on MLA style. The site requires no registration and is chock-full of useful information.

Purdue's Online Writing Lab (OWL) MLA Formatting & Style Guide webpage(s) provide some really great, quick help for figuring out how to format your paper, and your citations! I would recommend checking here, as they have an easily navigable display and the citation formatting is broken down in an accessible way.

Not all citation creators are built equally:

make sure you keep in mind that computer-generated citations can occasionally spit out flawed citations, so go over them with a fine-toothed comb before turning in your assignment!
